Just decided to name my home accessory line, THE SCARLET COLLECTION. The reason for this name is the obvious: each item is painted a bright red color. Wikipedia defines the color scarlet as: "Scarlet (from the Persian سآقرلآت säqirlāt) is a bright red color with a hue that is somewhat toward the orange. It is redder than vermilion. It is a pure chroma on the color wheel one-fourth of the way between red and orange. [2] Traditionally, scarlet is the color of flame. It may also refer to the color of the blood of a living person." Oooooo, it sounds perfect for my work - very Aztec, blood spilled and sacred heart surrounded by flames. So there you have it. The Scarlet Collection is born. The photos above are examples of my Scarlett Collection!
